Sydney – This shoot was on my last day in Bondi Beach in Sydney. Lucas told me about Lady Jane, a nudist beach with a great skyline view that was also a gay hangout.  We decided on shooting nudes before the sun went down and get more at dusk. But our timing was off. By the time we left my airbnb, drove to Lady Jane’s and hiked through the terrain to get to the beach, the sun was already getting close to the horizon. And my flash batteries were acting up. I quickly snapped the shots in the blue briefs then got Lucas into the black Speedo for the horizon shots.  My batteries quickly failed after that and our shoot was over.
I love what I got with Lucas, especially the shot with the silhouette of Sydney’s skyline, but I was really bummed we didn’t get more. Afterwards he drove us home and I learned what it was like to drive through the neighborhood streets of Bondi Beach at 80mph. Bondi has no multi-lane avenues so we literally were driving 80mph through single lane roads lined with homes. A great memory from an amazing trip.
