SOME NUDE WORK:

I met Ransom at an Austin gay club while he was doing promo work for the website Chaosmen (when it was owned by an Austin photographer).  This was my first shoot at Hippie Hollow, the clothing optional area of a lake near Austin. At the time I wasn’t shooting full frontal. But Ransom – who is Bi and is a dad – wasn’t shy and kept pulling his suit down anyway to share with the small group of onlookers. I still think his peach is in the top 10 that I’ve ever photographed.

Fun fact: a friend (who was hungover) helping hold a reflector was pushed by an unexpected wave into the water with my digital camera in his pocket. To make Ransom smile for a shot I would bring up how my friend was soaking wet.

Recently (2023) Ransom reached out for a new shoot but we never could sync up. I also haven’t shot at Hippie Hollow since.
